History: Preston Road was the original trail followed by early settlers and cattle drivers from Austin. The high activity along this trail the area was granted a U.S. post office in 1860.St. Louis-San Francisco Railway built a line in 1902 and periodic watering holes were needed along the rails for the steam engines. Frisco grew around this train team the Frisco Roughriders and the soccer team FC Dallas.
