Spring has definitely sprung and we are all looking to spread our wings and get out into the great outdoors … weather permitting of course! 

There is never a shortage of things to do in North Texas. From sporting events, music festivals or something with art and culture, to family-friendly outings or cutting-edge, adult-only ventures, you will find it readily available no matter what time of year. Here are some great ideas of places to go and things to do – both inside and out -- through the end of April.

Hold on tight DFW! Everything just got a little bigger and better in Texas. AEG Live and Toyota Stadium are parterning up to bring a runaway train full of country music’s hottest artists to North Texas.

In addition to two days of country music’s top performers, attendees will be entertained with a whole herd of festival attractions. Off The Rails Festival will include a street taco cook-off, bourbon tasting tent, local craft beers and BBQ, interactive games, two step dance lessons, a trading post full of local western products and much more to be announced. 

Headline performers include: Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Sam Hunt, Eli Young Band and many more!

Bring items such as documents, plastic bags, styrofoam, computers, electronics, TVs, batteries, chemicals & more. There will also be family-friendly entertainment including a raffle and meet-and-greet with Rufus the Recycling Dog. Plus - new this year is the "Unusual Item Contest!" Volunteers should bring their "most unusual" litter item found back to IKEA.

Earth Day Texas is a free three-day event that seeks to celebrate the planet and educate Texans on the many ways we can protect our environment. EDTx provides eco-friendly family activities like tree climbing, arts and crafts, live music, hands-on workshops and much more. EDTx’s Eco Expo – the largest public exhibition of environmental initiatives in the nation – showcases businesses, nonprofits, academic institutions and governmental organizations. Friday’s programming will also include the first annual Eco-Conference designed to engage civic and business leaders in meetings and discussions about green living and a green economy in North Texas.
